What's on the Roadmap
We're actively exploring ways to expand the plugin ecosystem:
Community Plugin Library
A curated collection of plugins created by the Synap community. The idea is to let you browse, preview, and install plugins that others have built — without needing to use Claude Code.
Industry Templates
Pre-configured plugins for specific industries and workflows. We're exploring templates for areas like sales, marketing, education, and freelance work — so you can get started with a useful plugin in one click.
Plugin Sharing
The ability to share plugins across minds and with teammates. Export a plugin from one mind and import it into another.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use plugins on the web version? Currently, plugins are a desktop-only feature. Web support is planned for a future release.
Do plugins work on mobile? Not yet. Mobile plugin support is on the roadmap.
Can plugins access the internet? No. Plugins work with your local mind data only. They don't make network requests or connect to external services.
Is there a limit to how many plugins I can install? No. You can install as many plugins as you want. The sidebar scrolls to accommodate them, and you can collapse the plugin section when you don't need it.
What happens to my plugins if I uninstall Synap? Your plugins are just files inside your mind's folder on your computer. They won't be deleted unless you delete the mind folder itself. If you reinstall Synap and point it to the same mind, your plugins will appear again.
Do I need to know how to code to create plugins? No. Claude Code creates plugins for you based on plain language descriptions. Just describe what you want — layout, data, interactions — and Claude Code builds it. You can iterate as many times as you need until the plugin is exactly right.
