Canvas — Your Visual Workspace
Canvas is Synap's visual creative zone — an infinite board where you can plan content, design prototypes, and organize all your creative work in one space.
Canvas — Your Visual Workspace
Think visually, work freely
Some work just doesn't fit in a list or a document. Planning a content campaign, mapping out a product launch, designing screens for a new landing page — these are spatial tasks. You need to see the big picture, move things around, and find the arrangement that makes sense.
Canvas gives you a dedicated visual workspace for exactly this kind of work. It's an infinite surface where you can place, arrange, and connect your creative output freely. Imagine a giant table that never runs out of room, where everything you place stays exactly where you put it.
One space, all your creative work
Canvas brings together everything you create in one unified zone. Content cards, interface designs, campaign materials, and prototypes can all live on the same board, side by side.
You might put the landing page mock, the launch email copy, and the social media posts for a product launch all in one board — so you can see the complete picture at once, make sure everything is consistent, and track what's done and what's still in progress.
Boards and a Library
Canvas has two areas:
Boards are where you work. Each board is a visual workspace for a project or campaign. You can have as many boards as you like. Open one to see everything in it laid out on the canvas.
Library is where your reusable resources live. Templates you use often, design components, brand assets like logos and color palettes. Your Library builds up over time and makes every new board faster to start.
How boards work
Inside a board, every piece of your work appears as a card on the infinite surface. You can:
- Place cards wherever makes visual sense
- Group related pieces together
- Draw connections between cards to show relationships
- Zoom out to see everything at once
- Zoom in to focus on a specific piece
A minimap in the corner always shows you where you are on large boards. Zoom controls let you shift smoothly between the overview and the details.
Different work, same board
Boards flex to whatever you're working on. A board can hold:
- Social media posts, articles, emails, and video scripts
- Landing page and interface designs rendered live
- Mixed content where copy sits next to a prototype
The board adapts to the work. You choose what to put in it.
When to use Canvas
Use Canvas when you're creating something — when you have multiple pieces that need to coexist, when you want to see the whole picture visually, or when you're designing something and need a space to work it out.
